Work-based learning and the role of managers
Year: 2010
Type: article
Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Healthcare policy makers have advocated the introduction of work-based learning (WBL) methods to help improve care. Some healthcare professionals and academics do not support WBL, however, possibly because they experienced, and value, traditional learning methods. This article reports on one of the findings of a longitudinal evaluation of WBL among registered nurses and highlights the pivotal role that managers play in supporting WBL.
