Abstract: This study aims to improve second-grade students Indonesian language learning outcomes through the application of the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) learning model aided by picture cards. The study was motivated by low Indonesian language learning outcomes, particularly in literacy skills, as evidenced by students’ work, which still falls into categories B and C. The study employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted in two cycles with 24 second-grade students as participants. The learning material focused on Chapter 2, “Maintaining Health.” Cycle I addressed personal hygiene and physical health using four sequential picture cards per group. Reflection results indicated that some students still struggled to sequence the pictures and develop ideas, causing the activity to take longer than expected. Improvements were made in Cycle II by using one sports picture card per group and providing guidance through Subject-Predicate-Object (SPO) sentence patterns before developing them into simple texts. The research results showed an increase in the average learning achievement from 56.88 in the initial stage to 67.71 in Cycle I and 87,92 in Cycle II. Learning mastery also increased from 12.50% in the initial stage to 37.50% in Cycle I and 83,33% in Cycle II. These results indicate that the implementation of the TTW method, using picture cards tailored to students’ abilities, can improve learning outcomes in second-grade Indonesian language classes.
