Abstract: Learning enthusiasm is an important element of students' engagement during the learning process. However, preliminary observations in Class V indicated that students' attention, confidence in expressing opinions, and participation were not yet optimal. This study aimed to describe the improvement in learning enthusiasm through the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model. This study employed a classroom action research design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 29 fifth-grade students at an elementary school. Data were collected through learning enthusiasm questionnaires, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the average level of learning enthusiasm increased from 69.63% in the pre-cycle to 83.73% in Cycle I and 90.65% in Cycle II, representing an overall increase of 21.02 percentage points. All aspects of learning enthusiasm in Cycle II met the minimum success criterion of 75%. These findings indicate that implementing the TGT model through group work, academic games, tournaments, and rewards can support improvements in students' learning enthusiasm and encourage more active engagement during the learning process.
