Implementasi Media Pembelajaran "Kentang Taksi" Terhadap Minat Belajar Pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

Abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of the “Kentang Taksi” (Fact and Fiction French Fries) learning median in increasing students interest in learning Indonesian in elementary school. The main problem in this research is that many third-grade students stil have difficultly distinguishing and writing factual and fictional senteces due to the limited use of learning media derived only from textbooks. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects were third-grade students at Kanigoro 2 elementary school. Data were collected through interviews, participatory observation and documentation of student worksheets. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, comprising data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of “Kentang Taksi” media was effective in increasing student interest, enthusiasm, and active engagement in the learning process. This concrete media also accommodated various student learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) making the conceptual understanding of factual and fictional sentences more holistic and enjoyable. The recommendation of study is for elementary school teachers to integrate interactive concrete media based on direct experiences into language learning.
