Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of using the paired storytelling model on students' speaking skills at MI NW Dasan Lekong during the 2025/2026 academic year. An experimental research method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. Purposive sampling was used to select the sample, consisting of 19 students. A multiple-choice test served as the research instrument. The Liliefors test was used as a prerequisite test to assess data normality; the results indicated that the population was normally distributed. The findings showed an average pretest score of 49.047 and an average posttest score of 84.28. The calculated t-value (t-Stat) was -4.140, while the t-table value (t-Critical two-tail) was 2.093 at a 5% significance level with 19 degrees of freedom (df). Since the absolute value of the calculated t (4.140) exceeded the t-table value (2.093), and the two-tailed P(T≤t) value of 0.001 was less than 0.05, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Thus, the proposed hypothesis was accepted—meaning H₀ was rejected and Ha was accepted—indicating that the use of the paired storytelling model had an effect on students' speaking skills at MI NW Dasan Lekong during the 2025/2026 academic year.
