Abstract: India, the fifth-largest global economy, experienced a significant economic transformation by implementing the 1991 liberalisation, privatisation, and globalisation (LPG) reforms. These reforms notably improved the manufacturing sector, including the food processing industry. The food processing sector adds value to agricultural products, creates employment opportunities, stabilises market dynamics, enhances farmers' incomes, and expands product availability across market segments. The study aims to examine consumer buying behaviour, identify the influencing factors, and evaluate customer satisfaction with Likla Food Industries-a major food processing company in Manipur known for its bakery items and beverages. The study also suggests directions for future research in the state's food industry.
